In New York City, the Westside Market grocery store created a "Man Aisle" — an attempt to cater to the rising number of males doing the food shopping, according to a report by Bites.Today.MSNBC.MSN.com.
The aisle combines all the things a man might need in one place, the story says, like beer, cereal, soda, beef jerky, hot sauces, barbecue sauces, condoms and coffee.
The grocery store is also distributing a "Men's Supermarket Survival Guide," the report said, with suggestions like: "Not only doing the shopping but the cooking also? First pat yourself on the back from Westside Market NYC then choose either olive or canola oil."
